Small Claims Court
Small Claims Court
The Small Claims Court is a branch of the Superior Court of Justice, with a monetary jurisdiction of $35,000.00. This means that an individual and/or corporation can file a claim in Small Claims Court for property damage, breach of contract etc. up to that amount.
The Small Claims Court contains strict limitations and rules that can be detrimental to a case if not followed in accordance with the Rules. There are also many steps involved in the process which can be overwhelming to a self-represented party. By hiring legal representation, you will not worry about completing applicable Court forms, keeping track of important deadlines and you will have representation before the Court on your behalf. SLS has successfully represented both corporations and individuals in their financial recovery.
SLS gets the job done. Whether you have been served and need to file a defence, need to find a party to the matter or are just starting to look into your rights and commence action, SLS can help.
